OUR TEAM
At our studio, collaboration and knowledge sharing are important factors that dictate how our team works. Sense.A is a cohesive group of individuals, each with different interests, who come together to create the best possible architecture to fit your needs. We do not have a hierarchical structure but rather, each member of the team has an equal input to ensure architectural elegance. Our designs are created through a method of iterations and workshops where we collaboratively critique to achieve the best outcome. The client is also involved in these workshops and we strive to promote the client’s voice in the design process to ensure that their requirements are met in the design early. At sense.A, we aspire to embody leadership and innovation by creating a strong community, and an exciting and healthy workplace in our studio.

MELANIE ZHUO
Founder / Director
Melanie is the founder of sense.A. She holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture from the University of Sydney. Melanie has established a passion for how architecture can affect the community and the environment. Working with the sense.A team, she aims to pursue innovative high performance design. Melanie also has an interest in colour design which is explored further through fashion and photography.
LILY THA
Senior Partner
Graduated with a Bachelors from the University of Sydney, Lily is fascinated in the increased parametric and digital applications within architecture. At Sense.A, she primarily focuses on material relationships and human centered design. Lily's passion and attention to detail is also realized in her hobbies of painting and illustration.
OLIVER GUAN
Senior Manager
With a passion and background in architecture, Oliver has an deep interest in ESD and biophilic architecture. After graduating from the University of Sydney, he has worked at sense.A where he focuses on personal relationships and ensuring the inclusion of nature within homes where possible. He explores his creativity and knowledge through his hobby in photography.
Graduated with a Bachelors from the University of Melbourne, he sees architecture as a long-term physical media that promotes architect design idea and his/her own manifesto to the world. At Sense.A, he focuses on using latest software to help process the design.
